Covid-19 vs Work Based Learning

The last 12 months and the future……..

I think we can all agree Covid-19 has been catastrophic for work-based learning programmes, leaving a void in external employer lead learning. However, it’s been amazing to see numerous initiative virtual work experience programmes to help bridge the gap in employer engagement. With one eye on the future and a return to external work-based learning, I hope that these new learning resources/techniques are not disregarded and are fully incorporated into pre-placement preparation and wider career delivery models.

At the Changing Education Group, we are very excited about the return of students accessing external work placements with industry. As such our CONNECT developers have been working hard to create new functionality to enhance the student’s experience of work-based learning and maximise outcomes in line with the Gatsby agenda.

We are looking for Schools, Colleges, or EBPs to join our return to the external placement steering group, if you are interested please contact us at
Together, we will #inspirefutureleaders
