This week’s session will focus on getting the most out of CONNECT during the lockdown, and how specific functionality will help you prepare for meaningful work placements post COVID-19.

Our team of college ambassadors will be sharing best practices on how work-based learning teams can effectively deliver employer engagement, work placements, and risk management during this lockdown.

The Changing Education team have been working hard to develop a meaningful virtual work experience programme in partnership with multiple colleges, most recently Croydon & Coulsdon college. CONNECT – Internal Placements, Proposed Placements & Work Related Activity

This week’s webinar will concentrate on how staff can log proposed future placements without the need to create a full placement. The session will also focus on how a staff member can flag students as not placement ready via the internal placement functionality, in addition to documenting any work-related activity.

CONNECT – Advertising Placement Opportunities

This week’s webinar will concentrate on how staff can log placement opportunities to CONNECT. This includes advertising placement opportunities via the Student App which students can apply for. We will also focus on how staff can approve and deny any placement opportunity student application.

CONNECT – Home Page Statistics & Data Tables

This week’s webinar will concentrate on navigating the Dashboard and Department Home Page Statistics. In addition, we will focus on the Work Placement Status tables and how staff can effectively manage, track, evaluate and report on all aspects of work-based learning and careers provision.

We continue to enhance CONNECT as per our development schedule which means we are actively working on finalising the Student App phase 2 spec along with multiple editions to the CONNECT web platform which we will share with you on a weekly basis. 

We are currently working in partnership with several clients to create an Apprenticeship / Business Development CRM as a single portal solution to ensure clear reporting and communication across all your work-based learning teams. A key ingredient to this is working in partnership with Apprenticeship units at our valued partners to better understand the exact requirements and most efficient user flows.
