Dashboard Previous Years Placement Creation Tracker
What have our developers been up to?
We are pleased to share with you the new functionality which enables more detailed information to the placement creation timeline graph located in the dashboard. The purpose of the chart is to clearly outline progress against previous academic years. We believe that this chart will act as a clear indicator of the impact COVID-19 has had on your work-based learning programmes.
This allows you to:
Display more data about the placement creation timeline.
Add additional data points to move from monthly to weekly information.
Update the graph to show calendar years. January on the left and December to the right. The current year will show as a dark line. All previous years for which data is available will show as lighter lines. Each year will show in the key and will highlight on hover of the key and display values upon hover of the line and points (screenshot below).
Note we will update the chart to start at the beginning of the academic year (1st September to 31st August)

This week’s webinar will focus on placement attendance management and tracking. We will explore how staff members can utilise CONNECT to log daily attendance via the tracking tools. In addition, we will explore the automated attendance functionality, and how the employer appraisals can be utilised to log placement attendance.
This week’s webinar will focus on end placement early functionality. We will explore how staff can tag a placement as ending early with clear justification and actual hours completed. The session will also focus on the functionality that enables staff to mark placements as not starting or the student failed to attend to ensure placement activity reporting is concise.

Building on the work of the structured Changing Education virtual programme, we have invested significantly in ensuring our Mobile App and Web platform is fit for purposes. Here is a snippet of some of the key changes:

We continue to enhance CONNECT as per our development schedule which means we are actively working on finalising the Student App phase 2 spec along with multiple editions to the CONNECT web platform which we will share with you on a weekly basis.
We are currently working in partnership with several clients to create an Apprenticeship / Business Development CRM as a single portal solution to ensure clear reporting and communication across all your work-based learning teams. A key ingredient to this is working in partnership with Apprenticeship units at our valued partners to better understand the exact requirements and most efficient user flows.

Upon reflection, in the twelve years of being a director and co-founder, I am confident to say that this has been the most challenging year for the group.
Your ongoing support has enabled us to continue to innovate, develop and share functionality that has bridged the gap in the provision due to COVID-19 and furthermore informed CONNECT in preparation for students returning to the world of work in 2021.

New Task Section allows staff to view all appraisals that have been assigned to them to complete (screenshot 1). This is the first phase of a tasking system that enables clear and concise workload allocation and key performance indicators.
Back by popular request the traffic light color scheme to the placement breakdown chart (screenshot 2).
New Dashboard Progress Tracker – We are working to add historic data to this chart so that you can track progress based on previous years’ placement activity and benchmark against current progress. (screenshot 3)
